Silver, openwork earrings from my collection inspired by a language created by J.R.R. Tolkien ("Lord of the rings") as Grey Elves' language, called Sindarin. Each piece is my interpretation of a word from this elven language. This one is "Ithil" which means "the Moon".
First these crescent moon earrings were carefully designed and hand sculpted by me. Then made in sterling silver and adorned with muted pink/brown pearls. Beautifully romantic, full of amazing, tiny details - subtle knotwork, leaves, granulation. Every single element placed there with care and love. Oxidized and polished. Perfect for a person who loves romantic, fantasy inspired designs.
Length of the moon - 3.7 cm (1.33 in), its width 2.5 cm (1 in). Total lentgh of there earrings, including earwires is 4.9 cm (1.92 in). One earrings weighs 3.7 g, so they are surprisingly lightweight. Take a look at the photo with a model to see the size of the earrings in relation to a person. If you have any questions please ask. If you would like to have earrings like these, but with a different stone - let me know. You can find this design with moonstone and other stones to choose from here.
