This September you can join me and my amazing, creative friend, sculptor, jewellery maker - Carol Douglas - for a week of absolutely magical fun, filled with metal clay, mixed media, exploring your creativity and beautiful surroundings of the Irish West Coast.

"Storytelling through wearable sculpture - Land Sea and Sky" is a 7 days retreat at Mulranny Arts .

If you don't follow my brand Drakonaria on Facebook then you probably haven't seen the process behind this piece - "Three Realms triskele" .
It is a super special piece, not just because it looks cool and is a part of my jewellery line (you can find it here), but also because it sums up a theme of this new, unique master metal clay class/retreat, happening September 2025 in Ireland ...
It's all about exploring the three realms of Land, Sea and Sky, and channeling this experience into a beautiful piece of jewellery, loosely based on an idea of a triskele, making it truly YOURS!

I went there in March with Carol and fell in love with the place, experiencing magical realms of Land, Sea and Sky, and turning this experience into a pendant - silver, wearable memoir of my Irish adventure .

I love working like this. Soaking up the amazing world around me , letting those experiences work within me, and then, as a result, letting them out again, this time in a form of a magical, narrative piece of jewellery, which tells a story about this particular place in this particular time, through my eyes.

I want to share this experience with you! That's the main goal of this retreat. I want you to spend those 7 amazing days feeling, experiencing, nourishing your creative soul and playing, making, experimenting!

This is how the idea for the retreat was born - to create an experience fueled and studio time oriented week, filled with great fun, discovering amazing landscape of Mulranny's area, and turning all of that into a triskele inspired, complex piece, based on what we see, feel and learn .

It's not a "typical" metal clay workshop, where you follow the teacher through a strictly defined set of steps, to end up with a project looking like provided class samples. I teach this type of classes often, but our Mulranny retreat is a different story .

Number of places is strictly limited - it's not going to be a big group and Mulranny Arts' studio and facilities are really amazing, providing everything you would need for your Irish experience with us.
